SLU Block Party 2022 Preview

South Lake Union's favorite fete is back on August 5.

Head to the SLU Discovery Center between Westlake Avenue and Denny Way for the South Lake Union Block Party. Now in its 16th year, the SLUBP starts at noon with a performance by Seattle JazzED #jazzgirl Summer Camp, an amazing Letterpress Salon hosted by Partners in Print, and dozens of community booths.

Need your thirst quenched and your belly filled? The beer garden and food trucks will be open from noon to 11pm.

Food trucks and food providers include:

The SLUBP will round out the day with an excellent lineup of live music from I///U (5:30–6:15, Cytrus (6:45–7:45), Smokey Brights (8:15–9:15), and The Moondoggies (9:45–10:45), all which hail from the Northwest.

This event is free to the public and since it’s mostly an all-day affair, you can come and go as you please, which means you can pop by at lunch and return in the evening for music.

Don’t miss the chance to get to know your neighbors better, too. More than 30 local businesses and organizations will host booths at this year’s SLUBP. Be sure to stop by and learn more about them.
