Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Break the ice (and the Seattle Freeze) with group activities in South Lake Union.

Whether you’re organizing a teambuilding experience for your office mates, or you’re the type who thinks fun experiences are key to building stronger friendships, South Lake Union has you covered. Check out these group activities to help better communication, build trust, and create memories with friends and colleagues.

Flatstick Pub
609 Westlake Ave. N.

Get the competitive juices flowing with a round or three of mini golf or Duffleboard, Flatstick’s super fun, proprietary game that’s a mix of shuffleboard and mini golf. Flatstick offers a variety of private spaces for rent for larger team events, too. Take advantage of its extensive tap list and in-house kitchen to satisfy appetites and prevent meltdowns on the golf course.

REI Flagship Store
222 Yale Av.e N.

The outdoor co-op provides a number of fun classes, including climbing, avalanche awareness, and more. REI has made news in the last few years for its stewardship efforts—on Black Friday, when other retailers typically hype deep discounts and sale events, REI chooses to opt outside. It collects no online sales, closes its stores, and pays its employees to get outside. Leading up to and on Black Friday REI is hosting events with different organizations to clean parks, beaches, and riverbanks nationwide. Click here for event details and to register.

Seattle Makers
500 Aurora Ave. N. (at the corner of Mercer and Dexter)

If your group is looking to spark some creativity, head to Seattle Makers. This organization is dedicated to team building events where you can build, play, and create. Make collaborative artwork, use beginner vector design skills and laser cutters to build a custom laser-etched box, and more. Seattle Makers donates 5% of each team building event to select organizations like Native Girls Code, Key Tech Labs, and Chicktech Seattle.

Quest Factor
511 Boren Ave., Ste B

With premium live-action escape rooms, state-of-the-art puzzles, compelling storylines, and movie-like ambiance, Quest Factor will satisfy your thirst for challenging indoor adventure. Quest Factor offers the following themed escape rooms: Game of Kings, Jurassic Island, The Wizarding School, and Space War.
