Shakespeare’s final play, The Tempest, gives us Prospero, the Magician/Duke displaced by his treacherous brother, Antonio. Exiled on an island, with only his daughter, Miranda, the spirit Ariel, and the monster Caliban for company, the opportunity for revenge presents itself when a shipwreck brings his enemies to his shores.
