We invite you to attend the second annual ‘A gathering to benefit Northwest Immigrant Rights Project’ event at The Collective. You’ll hear about how the family separation crisis has continued to evolve and what new developments mean for the people in our region from Jorge L Baron, Executive Director of NWIRP.

One year ago over 200 asylum seekers – many of whom had been separated from their children at the Southern border – were detained at a federal prison in SeaTac. During that frenetic summer of 2018 the staff and volunteers of NWIRP worked around the clock to meet with every one of those individuals. Thanks to generous support from our community, NWIRP has been able to take their cases, advocate for their release, and reunite every one of those parents and guardians with their children.

But the stories of these asylum seekers haven’t ended. Immigration cases can take years to complete, and NWIRP is committed to support their clients on their entire journey through the US immigration system. We hope we can continue to count on people like you to keep walking with our clients, too!

Guests will enjoy complimentary food and drinks and will also have the opportunity to make donations to NWIRP at the event. We will also feature a silent art auction with pieces donated by local artists in support of immigrant families facing detention. All proceeds from the fundraiser will support NWIRP.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will support NWIRP. Join us to unify families!
