Nirvana exhibit

After 14 loud, legendary years, Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses is taking its final bow at MOPOP.

This landmark exhibition—packed with rare artifacts, smashed guitars, and the sound that shook the world—closes September 7. To send it off, we’re throwing a farewell celebration on September 6 that’s pure grunge spirit: think live T-shirt printing with The Vera Project, DIY zines with Push/Pull, button-making, film screenings, confessional videos, and a panel of Seattle music scene veterans discussing the multi-decade impact of the early ’90s Grunge explosion. Come make some noise and say goodbye to the exhibition that never stopped smelling like teen spirit.
