The versatile and nutritious lentil, also known as dal,  is one the oldest cultivated crops in India. And our state of Washington is now the largest growers of lentils in our country. (We have heard that the Lentil Festival in Pullman is a real blast)!

Chef Dev has a broad cooking and farming background and brings passion and fun to every culinary event. In this class Dev will talk about the different variations of lentil preparations: masoor, urad and toor and broadly discuss their uses in Indian cooking. His reverence for intricately spicing each dish is an inspiration on for elevating this humble pulse. Guest will enjoy the dals with an accompaniment of small vegetable and meat dishes, known as Thali in India.

Safety: In compliance with state and federal directive, it is our policy to verify vaccination status for all events at Hot Stove Society. Proof of vaccination will be required for entry for everyone over 12 years of age. We require that you bring a mask to wear when you are moving about in our kitchen and may remove it when eating. Our staff is fully vaccinated and will wear masks except when presenting on the demonstration stage. Effective 10/04/2021.

Refund Policy:  Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable.  The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
