Help create a community artwork that will be on view at MOHAI.
As part of an upcoming exhibit, Vashon artist Miya Sukune will show you how to create felt flowers that will be part of a hanachozu-inspired display. Hanachozu are floral displays seen at Japanese temples and this display will be a community offering in the exhibit for the Day of Remembrance (February 19, 2026), honoring Japanese Americans affected by the World War II incarceration.
