Andreas Kocks’ new work maneuvers within the interface of art, nature and architecture. His forms draw from organic botanicals and painterly strokes. One piece may invite you in to discover its depth, while another boldly slashes across the wall. In both instances there is an intersection and overlapping of 2d and 3d artwork which must be experienced to fully comprehend. It is this transitional quality of the work that inspires the title, Solid Either.

Born in Oberhausen, Germany, Andreas Kocks has exhibited works internationally, including the Museum of Art and Design, New York, the Sea City Museum, England, and the Horst-Janseen-Museum, Germany. In 2006, he was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation fellowship and he has received numerous commissions from private and public clients. He lives and works in Munich, Germany.
