SLU’s new virtual reality gaming platform is now open.

Seattle’s ever-growing tech sphere is getting a new dose of immersive entertainment as Sandbox VR opens its second Seattle-area location in South Lake Union. The world-renowned virtual reality gaming platform set up shop at the bustling intersection of Mercer Street and Westlake Avenue North at 520 Westlake.

Sandbox VR redefines the virtual reality experience by combining full-body motion capture with high-quality haptics. Offering much more than home VR systems, it delivers a level of realism that completely immerses you into the gaming world, promoting active socializing in a fun and dynamic way.

With four private “holodecks” that allow groups of four to six to explore different virtual worlds, this new location promises to be a hub for social experiences. Armed with cutting-edge VIVE Focus 3 headsets, haptic vests, and motion sensors, players can physically interact and team up to become stars of their own action-packed narratives.
