All About The Burgers

SLU serves up some of the best in the city.

May is National Burger Month and to celebrate, we’re sharing some of the most popular burgers in the neighborhood. From burgers topped with gooey mac and cheese to meatless vegan burgers, South Lake Union has your burger cravings covered.

Check out five of SLU’s most beautiful burgers:

Duke’s “Extra Sharp” Cheddar Cheeseburger

If you’ve dined at Duke’s Seafood, you probably know how important sourcing is to this local favorite. These grass-fed patties are topped with Tillamook extra sharp white cheddar and Duke claims it’s “simply the best burger on the planet.”

Feaux Real

Lunchbox Lab (as its name suggests) offers up a menu full of experimental burgers. The Feaux Real is a mouthwatering and meatless burg that’s built with a Beyond meatless patty, creamy Chao cheese, vegan Top Secret Burger Sauce, lettuce, and tomato.

Juicy Lucy

SLU’s version of this Minnesota classic from Sam’s Tavern features melty brie, cream cheese, sautéed onions, and Sam’s secret sauce. Need more incentive? Each burger comes with bottomless fries.

Mac & Cheese Burger

What? Yes, you read that right. This burger from The Butcher’s Table is made with a mesquite-grilled ground ribeye patty topped with Beecher’s Mac and cheese, charred jalapeño sriracha aioli, and Beecher’s Flagship cheese. Napkins required.

RR Ranch Burger

If you’re looking for a plain-Jane burger, look elsewhere. The folks at Re:public have put together a culinary delight with gruyere cheese, arugula, and confit garlic shallot aioli, all nestled perfectly between a Macrina brioche bun.
