2020’s Best of SLU

Voting is now open to honor neighborhood businesses and organizations.

South Lake Union faced seemingly insurmountable challenges in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. To celebrate the tenacity and connectivity of the neighborhood and its businesses and organizations, the South Lake Union Chamber of Commerce has opened voting for its annual Best of SLU.

The yearly recognition event highlights and celebrates collaboration and support of neighborhood businesses and nonprofits. Each year since 2008, the South Lake Union Chamber of Commerce has recognized businesses and organizations that demonstrate strong efforts in building a successful community in the neighborhood.

The nominating committee also included new nonprofit categories to honor organizations that have done incredible work in housing and health and wellness.

“2020 was our hardest year yet and even in the face of such adversity our businesses continued to step up and help in any way possible. Our selection committee was overwhelmed with gratitude for all the incredible work and bravery of our nonprofit organizations who truly served as the front line in our name with the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Danah Abarr, executive director of the South Lake Union Chamber of Commerce.
