Originating in Japan as “shio pan” (塩パン), this delicious snack began trending in Korea, where it became known as “salt bread”. In comparison to the croissant, salt bread is made with a butter block that melts into the dough, creating a crispy, fried buttery bottom, while the interior stays soft and creates the perfect space for delicious fillings.
