Now in its 16th year, we are excited to bring you the virtual version of our holiday show this year, so that you can shop comfortably and safely from your own home — or whever you have an Internet connection.
Urban Craft Uprising is Seattle’s largest indie craft show! At UCU, now in its sixteenth year, fans can choose from a wide variety of hand-crafted goods, including clothing of all types, jewelry, gifts, bags, wallets, buttons, accessories, aprons, children’s goods, toys, housewares, furniture, paper goods, candles, kits, geekery, art, food, and much, much more.
Each show is carefully curated and juried to ensure the best mix of crafts and arts, along with quality and originality. This bi-annual show features over 150 vendors excelling in the world of craft, art and design.
What will this “virtual” event look like?
We know from our past shows that one of our shoppers’ favorite parts about Urban Craft Uprising shows is the opportunity to interact directly with the maker, to learn the story behind the product they’re buying, and to learn about the production process directly from the maker him/herself.
At our virtual show, you’ll not only be able to buy your favorite products directly from these makers (which is one of the best ways you can support these wonderful small businesses who have really been struggling this year without their regular in-person markets) but we’ll be simulating the experience of walking into their booth, giving you the ability to chat or even Zoom with them directly, all weekend long.
We’ll also have live demos, interviews and other events with our vendors, and a live help desk running all week long in case you need help accessing any of this technology!
Also, by registering for your free ticket to UCU, you’ll be automatically entered to win one of the hundreds of door prizes that will be generously donated by our vendors, and by other local foodie businesses and sponsors. We regret that we won’t be able to hand out our famous swag bags to you in person this year, but we hope this will be a close second!
