Seattle Boat Show 2019

The countdown is on! The 72nd annual Seattle Boat Show is ready to make a splash, cruising into town on Jan. 25 and running through Feb. 2, 2019. It’s the largest show on the West Coast and attracts visitors from across the country and around the globe. From kayaks to luxury cruisers and everything in between, it features more than 1,000 boats and yachts in two locations, three acres of the latest and greatest gadgets and gear, 400+ exhibitors, 200+ free seminars and advanced training classes for a fee. There’s also tons of fun to be had and a variety of activities for everyone including wine and beer nights, and a special Kids AquaZone full of family-friendly activities.

A free shuttle runs continuously between both locations, and parking is free if you buy your tickets online. Most unusual watercraft at the show

Whatever floats your boat, it will be there at the show. Small and large, sail and power or human-powered, there’s something for everyone. Some of the more unusual watercraft include: WilCraft, an amphibious ice-fishing vessel; SEABOB, an underwater scooter that would be at home in any James Bond movie; and a Tritoon pontoon boat outfitted with a 4-person hot tub mounted on top. Clean and green: At CenturyLink Field Event Center the latest in ‘green’ marine technology will be on display including electric outboard engines from local companies, EP Carry and Pure Watercraft. These engines offer no maintenance, no emissions, no smell and no noise, allowing boaters to enjoy the tranquil outdoors. Also on display will be a Solar Sal 27, a 100% solar electric tour boat. At South Lake Union, there will be four hybrid diesel/electric boats from 33-48 feet from Slovenian boat builder Greenline. All it takes is a flip of a switch to turn a diesel driven boat into full electric and back.

Uncorked—Opening Night, Friday Jan. 25, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Showgoers can sniff, swirl and sip their way through the show, tasting a variety of award-winning Washington and California wines while shopping for the boat of their dreams. (CenturyLink Field Event Center)

Kids AquaZone

Fun for the little boaters, kids attending the show can enjoy time in the Kids AquaZone including AquaPaddlers, a nautical library/story nook,  giant coloring murals, paper sailboat making, rain gutter sailboat regatta racing, sandcastle building, skimboard balance boarding and more. Women’s Day – Monday, Jan. 28

Women can attend the show for free and enjoy a slate of seminars designed specifically for women, by women boaters. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet, learn and get inspired by some of the most experienced and talented women boaters around. Visit Seattle Boat Show to print the complimentary pass. Complimentary Boat Rides

The 20-minute guided tours are in all-electric 21-foot enclosed, heated Duffy boats. It’s a fun way to see the Lake Union portion of the show from a new perspective. Blankets are provided for an added snuggle factor. (South Lake Union)

Sails & Ales – Friday Feb. 1 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

What better combination than hops and props? That’s what’s on tap for Sails & Ales, the craft beer night. Attendees will be able to cruise the show with ale in hand and enjoy the best of NW brews and boats. (CenturyLink Field Event Center)
