The Center for Wooden Boats is hosting a season kickoff event: Free Boating Day!

Families and dogs are welcome.

Free Boating Day will be held on April 16, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  at the Wagner Education Center, Pavilion, and Docks on the CWB campus in South Lake Union.

As the name suggests, this is a day when the nonprofit museum invites the boat-loving community of Seattle to their campus for free hands-on experiences on the water, which will include free boat rentals, woodworking and knot-tying classes, sailboat rides, trips on historic wooden vessels, and more. Find a full list of activities at https://www.cwb.org/free-boating-day.

The event is aimed at supporting CWB’s vision to provide equitable access to empowering maritime experiences. Last year, CWB served over 30,000 people with sailing and woodworking instruction, boat rentals, and free access to maritime exhibits.

Those interested in attending can join the event at their own pace. There are no reservations, visitors can drop in anytime.
