Arte & Vino and Cascade Second Sunday Stroll - September

For the months of September and October 2016, we’re showcasing two very talented artists: Vanessa Harvey and Claire Showalter.

Vanessa Harvery will be presenting “Memories of water”
As a swimmer and a rower, I find myself drawn to water. My favorite memories are of water. Calm water, rough water, ponds, creeks, oceans, water at night, water at day break. This is a tribute to my love and fascination with water.

On the opposite side, Claire Showalter is presenting her “Landscape & Particle Studies”

In these investigations, color and movement leave but an impression, remaining vague through the looseness of the material. These smaller, iterative studies of individual movements and ideas are part of a longer series of work as a richer, more dimensioned narrative of pieced together moments continues to be explored and developed.
