Matcha Magic is a woman- and minority-owned cafe, founded in Bellevue, WA and now open in five locations nationwide.

Founder Rachel Barnecut has built the brand around making matcha more approachable. That shows up in drinks like the Toasted MatchaMallow Latte and the Caramel Maca-iato—blends that lean dessert-like without straying too far from the cafe’s wellness roots. The smoothie lineup also continues to grow in popularity, with visually polished, Erewhon-inspired creations that pair functional ingredients like collagen with thoughtful choices such as organic maple syrup, dates or unsweetened peanut butter that skip the necessity of any artificial sweeteners. 

Matcha itself has long been associated with sustained energy and focus, thanks to its high levels of L-theanine, and Matcha Magic leans into that narrative—offering a jitter-free alternative for customers looking to move away from traditional coffee.
