Placemaking Installations – Day 1 Playfield, Nitro Plaza, re:Invent Plaza, Doppler Plaza
This season, Day 1 Playfield (2121 7th Ave), Nitro Plaza (2250 7th Ave), re:Invent Plaza (2121 8th Ave), and Doppler Plaza (2021 7th Ave) transform into spectacular snowscapes with gathering spaces and photo opportunities from December 8 – January 9. Come stop by for a snow globe selfie, huddle at the snowflake seating with a hot beverage, and take in the festive vibes.
Winter Market at Nitro Plaza
Come chill with us at Winter Market on December 12 & 13 from 11am – 3pm. You’ll find unique gifts from local artisan vendors, sweet treats to enjoy on the go, and $20 vouchers so you can keep shopping in South Lake Union.
Winterland Maze at Day 1 Playfield
After visiting Winter Market, stop by the Day 1 Playfield and wander through the Winterland Maze. Here you’ll find special holiday photo displays, music, and the occasional flurry of falling snow, bringing winter magic to life. The Winterland Maze will be available to visit during Winter Market and through December 19, with a special snowy surprise from 12pm – 1pm on December 15 – 19.
Holiday Card Crafting at re:Invent Plaza
Visit the Winterland Maze on December 12 and capture a festive photo with the photo booth team. Then bring your photo over to re:Invent plaza and Gage Art Academy will help you craft a holiday card to deliver to someone special.
Snowflake Scavenger Hunt
Let the snowflake hunt begin! Look for snowflakes on South Lake Union sidewalks. When you find one, scan the QR code and fill out the form to be entered into a giveaway for a prize valued at $100. Find all ten snowflakes for more opportunities to win! The snowflake hunt begins December 8. Winners will be contacted within a week after the snowflake scavenger hunt closes on January 9 at 9 pm.
