Al fresco eating. Plein air dining. Whichever way you slice it, outdoor feasting is happening in South Lake Union and in communities throughout Seattle. A good handful of restaurants have offered outdoor seating all summer, and the neighborhood is going a step further to embrace the last few weeks of warm weather and sunshine by closing several blocks to vehicle traffic to accommodate socially distanced outdoor seating.
One of the most notable plaza popups is the Regrade Streateries, a collection of three different areas featuring fencing, tent canopies, bistro seating, and fresh flowers provided by Pike Place Market Farmers. This expanded access to safe outdoor dining allows diners to support their favorite local businesses.
The Regrade Streateries are open daily from 8am to 8pm and will serve the neighborhood through November 7. These areas don’t offer direct restaurant service, but consider takeout options from the nearby businesses below:
