Patio Sips

Quench your thirst at one of these outdoor spots in SLU.

Prime patio season is here, and there are plenty of places in SLU to enjoy a refreshing beverage outdoors. Enjoy the warm Seattle air and a tasty beverage at one of these neighborhood hot spots soon.

mBar, 400 Fairview Ave N, 14th floor

Unparalleled rooftop views make mBar one of the hottest seats in SLU. The view alone would be worth the wait here, but mBar, which is owned by the same Mama Restaurant Group that runs Mamnoon and Mamnoon Street, is a draw with its excellent Levantine menu of small and large plates. Drink this: Blessings of Love (rum, passionfruit, mint, lime, soda); or that (non-alcoholic): California Dreamin’ (sour orange juice, almond syrup, ginger beer).

White Swan Public House, 1001 Fairview Ave N

Known for its seafood pub fare, The White Swan Public House is also a perfect place to sip a cocktail on the patio and take in the view of Lake Union. Get yourself to happy hour from 3 to 5pm for discounted sips and $2 oysters. Drink this: Tickle Mi Pink (Mi Campo reposado, pink guava puree, pampelmousse liqueur, sunflower orgeat, lime, salt rim); or that: house mocktail (grapefruit soda, ginger ale, rosemary syrup, lime).

Tapster, 1011 Valley St

The self-serve tap room not only features dozens of excellent brews and pours but offers up a generous outdoor space. In addition to its tasty brews, the Chicago-born concept regularly puts on events like drag bingo and themed trivia nights. Drink this: Dank Dust by Elysian Brewing Company (lush grapefruit, mango, and orange, backed by an extra herbal kick for added freshness); or that (non-alcoholic): Seeking Kombucha mango peel turmeric soda.
