Great Spaces

South Lake Union has become a destination for private events.

As the neighborhood has grown up from its industrial roots into a bustling business corridor, the need for event space has increased accordingly. If you’re looking for a spot to host your next corporate gathering, a private dinner, or even a wedding, this list will get you started. In addition, you can head the South Lake Union Chamber of Commerce site to find more options.

For a pop of color

Beyond Space, 227 Ninth Ave. N.

The folks behind Beyond Space don’t believe in beige walls. The hip and colorful 6,000-square-foot event venue and creative studio includes a 4,500-square-foot main area, two additional private rooms, a 1,000-square-foot mezzanine space overlooking the party, and a mid-century modern library lounge.

For more flexibility

415 Westlake, 415 Westlake Ave. N.

High ceilings, large open space without challenging posts, high-quality sound and video systems, and a well-equipped kitchen are highlights from the flexible space at 415 Westlake. From weddings to wine tastings, all-hands meetings, yoga classes, festivals, and more, 415 Westlake has seen it all.

For a wow factor

The Collective, 400 Dexter Ave. N.

This “high-impact urban basecamp” has two gorgeous spaces (Alpenglow Gallery and High Tide Gallery) that work well for stand-up receptions, all-day meetings, seated meal services, and more. The beautifully appointed spaces and natural light are meant to inspire community and stewardship.

For a culinary experience

VUDE, 308 Ninth Ave. N.

The Velvet Underground Dining Experience (VUDE) is an excellent choice for your next private dinner. The open layout encourages interaction between guests and kitchen. This spot has experience in wine-paired dinners, receptions, cooking classes, lunch meetings, and much more.
