In 1940, Lotte Berk, a German dancer who fled the Nazis in the late 1930’s and came to London, injured her back dancing and got the idea to combine her ballet bar dance conditioning routine with her rehabilitative therapy.

The studio offers a spa-like atmosphere that is inviting and warm. But it’s not just the environment that keeps clients coming back day after day — a very tight-knit and supportive community has developed here and continues to flourish.
