Summer activities such as travel, visits with out of town guests, and other activities can sometimes prevent donors from giving blood. Consequently, the blood supply for our community decreases. Meanwhile, the demand for blood in summer increases due to people being more active, resulting in a higher number of accidents and more patients needing blood.
The next pop-up blood donation event with Bloodworks Northwest is on July 28 in the Van Vorst Building. Please sign up to reserve your spot! Your blood donation will help ensure an adequate blood supply for patients at local hospitals this summer.
