On July 9th, our organization, See Jane Run, will be producing a special event in the Eastlake Neighborhood called See Jane Run Women’s Half Marathon. The Eastlake Neighborhood has been chosen as the location for this event because the race is utilizing the Cheshiahud Lake Union Loop. We are thrilled to be guests in your neighborhood and it’s important to us that we are communicating clearly with you, the neighbors.

This relatively flat course starts and ends at Gas Works Park. Along the course you will travel through the unique Fremont area, over the Fremont Bridge along the Ship Canal Path and south around Lake Union. Return to Gas Works Park via the University Bridge and the lovely Wallingford Neighborhood. You’ll get scenic views of Seattle waterways, floating homes, parks and quirky neighborhoods.
• Event hours are from 8:00am-12:00pm on Sunday, July 9th.
• We will be loading in beginning at 4:00am on July 9th at Gas Works Park, and will load out until 3:00pm on July 9th.
• We will leave your neighborhood as we found it: litter and recycling will be handled by CleanScapes.
• During the event hours, we expect between 900 and 1,200 attendees per day.
• Streets may be closed or have limited vehicle and/or pedestrian access between the hours of 8:00am on July 9th through 12:00pm on July 9th.
• We will have amplified sound during the hours of 9:00am-12:00pm on July 9th.
o Amplified sound includes music and announcements
o Amplified sound will only take place at Gas Works Park

We are working closely with the City of Seattle Special Events Committee to minimize the impacts of the event. Our goal is to create an enjoyable and positive experience in your neighborhood.
