Roots of Wisdom: Native Knowledge. Shared Science

Through interactive displays, immersive experiences, and videos guests will embark on a journey that celebrates the enduring wisdom of Native cultures while highlighting their contribution to scientific inquiry.

“We are honored to present Roots of Wisdom: Native Knowledge. Shared Science. at MOHAI,” said MOHAI Executive Director Leonard Garfield. “This exhibit celebrates the invaluable contributions of Indigenous cultures to scientific innovation and offers a unique opportunity to engage with Indigenous voices, learning from their deep connection to the natural world and their innovative problem-solving approaches.”

Through the voices of elders and youth, engaging video interactives, and hands-on games, visitors will gather resources, examine data, and take part in the growing movement towards sustainability and the reclamation of age-old practices.
