We are taking you on a ‘road trip’ down to Portland for this fun beer dinner with beers from Breakside Brewery. In keeping with the Portlandish theme of ‘Keeping it Weird’, we have created a five course food truck-themed menu to pair with the eclectic and unusual beers that this rad brewery is making. Chef Bradley has come up with a menu that is as varied and colorful as the food truck scene he is emulating and with each course you’ll get to try one of Breakside’s unique brews. This event is not to be missed!  Price: $50

Below is a brief description of Breakside’s fantastic beers:

Breakside Pilsner – grass, herbal, spicy, bready, crisp 5.2%  35 IBU

Salty Dog – gose with grapefruit & lime
Tom likes drinking Salty Dogs and wanted to make a beer that tastes like one. Huge grapefruit on the nose and mid palate, moderate acid, and tremendous drinkability. It’s like a Radler, but boozier, and better.5% ABV | 10 IBU

Wombat vs Wallaby – Southern Hemisphere IPAA new IPA featuring Nelson, Waimea, Rakau, Mosaic, and Citra hops; This beer showcases some of our favorite varietals from the Southern Hemisphere. Named one of the 10 best IPAs in America by DRAFT Magazine!7.2% ABV | 80 IBU

Tea Time Pale – One of our favorite pub recipes from the past few years returns for a wide release! This English Golden Ale is brewed with lemon peel and conditioned on Earl Grey leaves from our friends at Townshend’s Tea. The light bitterness and refined use of tea & citrus balance beautifully against the rich malts in this beer. Inspired by a trip to London, this beer combines some of our favorite flavors of the British Isles with the aspects of classic British beers that we love: sessionability, elegant maltiness, and balance.5.2% ABV | 22 IBU

Come Again  – Hoppy Red Lager – A collaboration beer brewed with our friends at Melvin Brewing in Idaho. Well, actually Melvin is in Wyoming (barely), but no one cares about Wyoming. When we traveled to Idaho to brew with them, everyone figured we’d make an IPA together, but instead we decided to make a Vienna Ale. Brewed on the Melvin system, that beer became a hit called ‘Wait, What?’ Now, we’ve revived the recipe here at Slabtown and made our version of it called ‘Come Again?’ This time it is a red lager brewed with a grip of popular European aroma hops like Styrian Wolf, Grungeist, Huell Melon, and a new experimental dry hop called Hallertau Mittelfruh 6.1% ABV | 55 IBU

Mex Coffee Stout 50L – Stout w/ Coffee & Spices – Luscious dessert stout inspired by Mexican “cafe de olla,” this beer is made with toasted fennel, cinnamon, and espresso from Stumptown Roasters. note: THIS BEER CONTAINS LACTOSE! 7.2% ABV | 22 IBU
