Join Northwest Seaport for their November Chantey Sing on the Historic Steam Ferry, Virginia V. Sea chanteys and other sea songs celebrate our connections to the sea, ships, skippers, and sailors.

Once stuck on a deserted isalnd with a guitar and a book full of chantey lyrics without chords, Al developed his own delightful melodies and style of chantey singings. His gentle voice and melodious guitar calls to mind the folk sounds of Burl Ives. Al was on of the infamous Halibutts, recognized for keeping Iver Haglund’s folk song tradtions alive, and he is a winner of the Seattle Stores of the Sea competition!
