Chef Tom Douglas wearing a vegetable straw hat.

In the ‘before time’ every year we hosted a Mom and Tom brunch at the Palace Ballroom. Darn it, we miss that so much. But we still need to show our moms how much we appreciate them. So, sign up to watch this free class with your mom.

You will learn how to make sumptuous eggs benedict, and the world-famous Grandma Douglas (it runs in the family) pecan schnecken. We will send you the recipes the week before so you can cook along or just relax and enjoy the show. And in keeping with our tradition, we ask the brave and the willing to wear a celebratory spring hat. Our team will pick the most enthusiastic entries for cookbook prizes.

Psst!! To spoil mom just a little more we’re offering a sneak peek at our in-process remodel of the Dahlia Bakery and a treat to snack on during the show for the first 100 registrants. On Saturday May 8th, you may pick up your complimentary gift 6 pack of our OH Mochi Donuts at the Dahlia Bakery, Located at 2001 4th Avenue, between 1:00 and 3:00 PM.  Unfortunately we are unable to ship our donuts or accomodate special pick up requests.  An email will be sent out in advance and will confirm if you are a winner!

One registration per household, please.

48-hours before class we will email all registered attendees a Zoom link..

A recipe packet will be sent out to all registered guests one week before class, should anyone decide to cook along with Tom!
