Winter sports are coming! Now is a great time for a physical tune-up and some mobility, flexibility, and strength training to enhance your skiing and snowshoeing fun. You are invited to join us and the author of Fit By Nature, John Colver, for a presentation and question and answer session, and for a chance to practice his Daily Dozen exercise routine, designed to complement any outdoor endurance activity. If you’d like to participate, bring comfortable clothes and shoes and a yoga mat, or feel free to just watch and listen. John is a certified fitness trainer, mountain guide, hiker, skier, and writer. Based in Seattle, he has guided over a hundred climbs of Mount Rainier, and in three decades of backcountry adventures, he has coached people from beginners to professional athletes of all ages and fitness levels. Equal parts adventure, nature, community, and fitness, John’s philosophy of health is that time spent exercising in the great outdoors is the answer to a healthy body and mind. Come for a fun evening and plan to leave with a toolbox full of tips and ideas to prepare for getting out on the snow this winter.
