The media landscape is changing. Yet, clear, compelling communication about science has never been more important. Join us in Seattle in April to learn from innovators in the field.

Compelling Science Storytelling: A Pacific Northwest Workshop for Science Communicators
is a one-day workshop and networking opportunity in Seattle.

When: April 28, 2017
Where: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
Who Should Attend?

  • Science communicators and public information officers
  • New science PIOs with no science background
  • Former science journalists who are now PIOs

The workshop will include a keynote presentation from Jacqui Banaszynski (Pulitzer Prize winner, former editor at The Seattle Times, now with Poynter Institute and Missouri School of Journalism) and two parallel tracks. We’re planning sessions on social media, visual communication, working with scientists and science journals, and more. There will be several networking opportunities. Details will be posted soon on the Program page.
