One of the greatest opportunities I am afforded as a photographer is spending one-on-one time with some fascinating people: from the quiet and introspective to the colorful and boisterous and everything in between. It is this cast of “characters” that create the rich communities in which we live.
Working with the creative talents of Jack Taylor, I wanted to depict a short story of two whimsical characters and give them a sense of reality and allow you to see beyond the fantastic costume and see the being below, and relate to them… discover the human subtleties within them that allow us to establish a connection.
It is when we can see past the things that separate us, that we build a solid sense of community…one that celebrates all of us, exactly as we are.
