About the Event:

James Baraz will discuss his new book Awakening Joy, which is based on his course of the same name.

James Baraz has been teaching meditation since 1978 and the Awakening Joy course since 2003. He leads retreats, workshops, and classes in the U.S. and abroad and is a founding teacher of Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California. In addition, James is on the International Advisory Board of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship. He lives with his wife in the Bay Area, has two sons and three grandchildren.

Arial partner yoga is a dynamic and physical experience that explores trust, communication, and awareness. Through working with others, everyone will find unknown strenghts and abilities, as well as new ways of confronting limitations. In addition to individual asana, these classes incorporate therapeutic and beginning acrobatic flying. No partner needed, just an open mind and a willingness to try new things.
